Rosetta Switzer was born in Shelby County, Ohio, August 17, 1844, and died December 18, 1890, aged 46 years, 4 months and 10 days. The remains were taken to Young’s Chapel December 20, at 11 o’clock a.m., and a brief but very fitting discourse that afforded great comfort and consolation to her bereaved family and relatives, neighbors and friends by Elder G. P. Fuson, of your city, and taken to the Lee Cemetery for interment. She leaves a family consisting of her present and second husband, Mr. G. W. Swisher, four children by her first husband, Mr. Dodds, and one, Lizzie, her little jewel, by her present husband, and five stepchildren to mourn the loss. Mrs. Swisher was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church from early life, and she bore her very severe sickness with great Christian fortitude and at different times during her illness, so far as she had the ability to speak, she expressed herself in such a way as to insure her friends of her future hope; and when asked by her husband if she was ready and willing, she said it was all right.
